*Absolutely. No. God-modelling. If you are unaware of what that means, please google it. No perfect characters. No. No. No. No. Moving on.
*No Power-playing. No, this does not refer to hockey. This means no making another character do what you want it to do. This includes, but is not limited to: characters' reactions, characters dying, characters' replies.
* You should try to not overload yourself with too many characters. For now we have a three character limit. If you feel you want to roleplay more than three characters, just send Courtney a PM and she will make sure you can handle it. This rule is in place because it is easy to overload yourself with too many characters, thus neglecting a few, or even feeling overwhelmed about having so many characters to keep up with. This sometimes leads to writer’s blocks, which are no fun at all.
*Your character profiles must be approved by an admin before you can start roleplaying. Once approved, they will be moved to the appropriate section by an admin and you will be allowed to RP that character.
*When creating your character, be sure to check the Face Claim list. Only one celebrity face per character (with the except of twins). There will be no repeats, which is why the Face Claim board was created in the first place.
*CLAIM YOUR CHARACTER’S PLAY-BY. Unclaimed celebrities are fair game. So even if you have been rping with your character for a while, and a new character is created with your character’s play-by, if you do not claim the face, you will lose out. You will have no claim.
Your best bet is, once your character is approved by an admin, to claim your character right away.
*In regards to putting a play-by on hold, this is recommended if you are working on a character profile and do not want to lose out on a particular play-by. Please keep note that you can only reserve a celebrity face for 4 days maximum. After that, the face is fair game.
*Play-bys can ONLY be a celebrity. Be it an actor, actress, singer, model, etc. You cannot be your character’s play-by, nor can it be anyone you know in real life (unless you happen to know a celebrity, in which case, luck you!). No exceptions.
*When making your character, try to keep in mind how many characters we have in each faction and of each gender. We don't want to have 10 characters in Dauntless and only 1 in Candor, for example. Or 15 female characters and 2 males.
*Remember that this roleplay is NON-CANON. That means that characters from the book will not be roleplayed here. This also means that you cannot create a character with the same background/personality as a character that exists in the books. Be creative, be original. That's what we're all about.
*Once you have read these rules, please reply with the first letter of your first name followed by one of your favourite Divergent characters.
