So not that we have some characters on the government's side of things, we need to discuss what that's all about. It's under inquiries because this will be something everyone can look back on, and sifting through the plotting board would be tedious.
SO.
Some housekeeping:
1) Name? I was thinking we just call them The Squad. Boring but simple. Very vague if they were to mention it in front of other people.
2) Headquarters: official government building, perhaps? Soundproof room, top floor or basement?
3) Weekly squad training? They'll have to be organised. They're government-run, remember. There are rules to follow.
4) *scratches head* What else?
Anyone wanting to contribute ideas: go! We need to figure these guys out like we did O:FF

1) Squad? Simple but efficient. It works.
2) Yeah they need have their own place. I suggest deep in the ground somewhere along with other Top Secret stuff.
3) I think training would be necessary although it's hard to imagine they have the time. I'm sure they're on missions quite often.
4) We need to know WHO'S in this. Sabrina and Miles so far, anybody else?

1) Sounds like (The) Squad it is.
2) Underground, eh? I like that. Maybe there are multiple secret entrances? But we'll have it under the inner city?
3) I don't think there'd be that many missions that they'd have no time to train.
4) So far it's just Sabrina and Miles who are being roleplayed. Kess is coming up with a female character to join them, I think. For now that's fine. It can grow. Perhaps some current characters can be recruits.
5) We need a mission statement. What does The Squad do. Also maybe a motto or something that they live by. Like their own mantra separate from the factions. To serve the government without question or something. To protect the government of New Chicago and its citizens from harm at whatever cost.

3) ...okay yeah I was over doing it. But yeah once a week training sounds good. :3 4) K sounds good. 5) Um how about something like, "To protect the citizens, and our way of life from those who try to destroy it."

5) I like that.
Let's see what Kess has to say, and others if they have ideas. We can all brainstorm.

5) Another mission could be to track down divergents

Idk I think this squad would be above that. I mean, the government is fine with Divergents as long as they don't show signs and hide it well (Tris' mom was safe, after all). So this squad would spend their time doing more important things. Plus the testing before the Choosing Ceremony detects Divergents, so other government members would keep an eye on them. When certain Divergents are pulled in for questioning, it would be the squad who does it. But that's only if they're suspected. I think the squad would be the ones killing the Divergents, too. It'd be top-secret, after all.
And no squad member could be Divergent-- I just thought of this. They wouldn't be trustworthy.

Hmmm. IDK I think Divergents would be rather useful to the Squad. After all they don't think like the general public, they're superior in some sort of way.
They would probably just be watched and made sure they weren't rebellious anymore. (Perhaps constant observation when they first join)

The thing is, the government is 100% against Divergents. They don't trust them. They aren't trustworthy Iin the government's eyes). They kill them. They wouldn't be able to risk even trusting them an ounce.

Yep. Though it'd be interesting if a member of the Squad thought Divergents were a resource to be utilized. Who would side with whom and could this sort of thing break apart a group that is supposed to seamlessly work with one another? (Is an overdramatic plotterer.)
Okay, so to catch up: The Squad is an undergrond (literally) organization that moves throughout the city, operating based on information given to them by governmental sources. Their goal is to protect citizens of New Chicago and keep the peace, but they do so in more subtle ways than the police, and deal in more secrets than the police are privy to.
Training is only mandatory on one day a week, but (I would assume) if you want to stay on the squad, you train every day, either alone or in pairs. Missions are frequent, but most likely solo or in pairs, with meetings every other day (Just a suggestion) to keep up with what everyone is doing.
The extensive train/tram/subway/Metro/whateveryouprefer system, along with the sewage routes have been declared off-limits to all citizens (not that everyone obeys those rules...) and it is there that the Squad is able to meet and operate out of. I rather like this idea, and they could have paved over the main routes really well and converted some areas into offices/labs/meeting rooms/armories. Also, I'd like to request that my character be allowed a motorcycle which she can ride through these underground tunnels like the BAMF she is.
Alright, let's talk leaders. Is this a group so advanced that it doesn't need a leader? I'm guessing not, and because there will be a LOT of controversy, we need a leader, or perhaps a senior member. Who would this person be? Does the Squad know who they really are?
Even more intriguing, what about missions? This is a high-class organization, and each person has been selected for a reason. Does each member have their own project, or is the team totally cohesive? Can there be pairs or teams? How big is the operation, and how many people are privy to its doings? THERE ARE SO MANY QUESTIONS.
However, these are my favorites for right now, and because we roleplayers are a team, I now open the floor to discussion. =)

About the leader: OMG *is too excited at my small idea* The leader should be faceless and all the Squad knows of their leader is their name. (Think Charlie's Angels and Inspector Gadget) So they get all of their information from their leader through secretive means and messages. But never meet the leader, ever. About training, missions, and meetings: Frequent meetings makes absolute sense, since they'd need to be caught up on everything. And then emergency meetings for big happenings (Example, when the coffee shop blew up, they'd be called in for an emergency meeting about that). The one day a week training would be for group training, but yes they'd all come in on their own time every day for singular or partner training, depending. In order to blend in in their factions, flexible training times would be better and less trackable. Missions with more than three people could be dangerous, so yes, solo or duo or trio missions would work best, I think.

Faceless leader for the win! Now, an important aspect of this: Name and contact system.
I vote computer messaging (encrypted) and for more secretive matters, carefully sent letters. All information is provided by X and all instructions are transmitted by Y, but the Squad suspects that X and Y are the same person, using the two variables as their name in an attempt to throw them all off.

I also vote for encrypted computer messages.
Now what to name the faceless leader... hmm. It shouldn't be a regular name. It should be cool. Like a nickname. So they could never possibly look him or her up. Speaking of him or her, the name should be (oh god mind blankage here.) uhh. What's that word? Bi-gender is not it lol and bi-sexual is definitely not it. The name should be a name that could be a guy or a girl. Like Night. Or. I don't know.

Gender neutral or androgynous is what you're thinking. xD And I still like the idea of just the letters X and Y. Are we rolling with the two-name thing, or does that make it too complicated?

That's it xD I kept thinking 'bi-sexual' and then 'NO!' lol Just letters is cool, too.
Hmm I'm good with either way.
