Not even kidding, this is my extremely long list of recommendations, and it will be added to periodically...and if you've read some of these, oh my god, I will love you to death. Seriously.
I have more, but I think I'll stop here for now, because my memory is blah, and I'm about to start in on comic books, and let's not go there.
- Venomous by Christopher Krovatin - Seriously love this book. It's like...amazing, and the nerd in me really loves the comic book type references.
- Looking for Alaska by John Green
- An Abundance of Katherines by John Green
- Paper Towns by John Green
- Will Grayson, Will Grayson by John Green AND David Levithan (my favorite so far)
- Stardust by Neil Gaiman
- Let Me In by John Avide Lindqvist - Kind of adultish themes, but it's the book the semi-recent vampire movie was based off. It was pretty epic.
- Tantalize by Cynthia Letitch Smith
- Eternal by Cynthia Letitch Smith
- Blessed by Cynthia Letitch Smith - Going to speak about all three books now. Tantalize, Eternal, and Blessed are pretty much Epic. I will admit I read Twilight. The books I could handle, though I think Anne Rice and Dracula are better, but this series, oh my god. Cynthia puts a couple new spins on old myths, but the vampires are true blood drinkers, and there's none of the sparkling. There are were's, but there are a whole bunch of different kinds, like weredeers, and werebears, and yeah, a couple werewolves too, but it's not what you'd expect....oh, and there's Angels. I'm sorry, a vampire novel with Angels. MADE. MY. LIFE. Also helps that the books are mostly set in Texas, and I'm a Texan...and I wrote the author on Myspace, and she sent me autographed stuff.
- Hush, Hush by Becca Fitzpatrick
- Crescendo by Becca Fitzpatrick
- Silence by Becca Fitzpatrick - Again, talking about the entire series. Fallen Angels. Epic Battles. Teen Romance. God, I was in love, oh, and there's a new book coming out soon. Seriously happy with this series.
