The Squad
A secret government-operated organization. Members are trained to blend in with society and hunt down Divergents and other threats to New Chicago.
Only members of The Squad and the nameless, invisible leader know of this organization.
Who is the leader?
Their leader is unknown, as no one has ever seen his face. He sends them mission messages to HeadQuarters, which is why all members must visit there at least once a day. Emergency messages are sent out right to the individual Squad members.
Where is Headquarters?
Squad HQ is located under the city of New Chicago. There are some secret entranceways that only Squad members can access through DNA scans. The entrances are very well hidden and only Squad members know it exists.
Mission Statement
To protect the citizens, and our way of life from those who try to destroy it.
Can anyone join the Squad?
No. The Squad is exclusive. The invisible leader, as they call him/her, hand-picks the people they want to become a member and have them trained. The process starts off slow, and all members are sworn to absolute secrecy.
Betrayal is punishable by death.
What exactly is the Squad?
In more detail:
The Squad is an underground (literally) organization that moves throughout the city, operating based on information given to them by governmental sources. Their goal is to protect citizens of New Chicago and keep the peace, but they do so in more subtle ways than the police, and deal in more secrets than the police are privy to. (this blurb writted by Kess)
How often do they train?
Squad members are required to attend a particular training class once a week. Missing it is not an option. Since the Squad has more control over the city than anyone knows about, no cover jobs will get in the way, therefore there are no excuses.
Most members, however, would train on their own daily, or with other members if they happened to be in the Squad training rooms at the same time.
