I need to read TMI still. Blahhh haha. So many books. I just updated my goodreads and the list of books I have to read is insane. I'll be reading His Dark Materials next (The Golden Compass, etc). I'm behind I haven't ready Percy Jackson or Narnia, either.. gawwwd. But yeah, I thought Legend was a different take on dystopias. Marie Lu did a good job on it. Also she's really pretty and I hate her for it

*le evil laugh as well* *got a copy of it finally* Well, here Recommend: Wither Short review: It's exceptionally good but the plot and culture might shock you. That is all. Agreed! I just finished it like, 10 minutes ago. (: it was really good. I love all the imagery-- her way with words is just superb. c: It's by Lauren DeStefano.

One of my favorite books of all time is Unwind by Neal Shusterman. (: Most people haven't heard of it, but it's really amazing.

That's on my list I recommend The Immortal Rules by Julie Kagawa. Vampiric dystopia - awesome, even if you aren't all that into the vampire genre. It's pretty great.

One of my favorite books of all time is Unwind by Neal Shusterman. (: Most people haven't heard of it, but it's really amazing. I read that a week or so ago and WOW ITS REALLY GOOD It was also very relevant to the philosophy class I'm taking c: One book I would have to suggest is Peeps by Scott Westerfeld I usually never tell people about it because it's like my own special book that nobody else knows about but it's just so excellent wow. It's about parasites and vampires, sort of. Also, Gone by Michael Grant is an amazing series, there's like five or six books and they're about two inches thick and PACKED WITH ACTION AND FEELINGS AND GORE, OH MY.

The Gone series, hands down, is fabulous. It's like Stephen King for teens. And I read Stephen King when I was a teen. haha.
Um, right now I'm reading a horror novel that's like Wrong Turn meets Deliverance, so I won't suggest it(even though I love it). It's very graphic with descriptions.
Ooh, I was reading Unwind, then put it on hold. Same goes for Charlie Higson's The Enemy.
OH! Read Lockdown by Alexander Gordon Smith. He's a British writer and there are 5 books in the series. I haven't read them all yet, but Lockdown is FANTASTIC!
The Maze Runner series is good, and the Uglies series isn't too bad, either.
If you like Angels, read Hush, Hush by Becca Fitzpatrick.

Well.... I've read some interesting things in my time. Just three for right now, though. The Great and Secret Show by Clive Barker. I think I was up for days reading it because I was so obsessed with how... Insane it was. Definitely a good read for those who like dark fantasy, appealing to an older crowd. Obviously Clive Barker is good at what he does so it's stupid to think I was shocked at how good I thought it was. Best three bucks I ever spent American Gods by Neil Gaiman. Also a fellow who knows his way around the english language. (Understatement...) I think I loved his books before I was old enough to know who he was. This work in particular tickled my brain while it entertained. I find myself thinking about this book even when I'm reading something else, or when I'm writing a scene will pop into my head and inspire some new madness. Way of the Wolf (Vampire Earth series) by E. E. Knight. A lesser known author, it's true, but this series is kinda kicking my ass with how cool it is. In a nutshell, it's a war story, it's a horror tale, it's futuristic dystopia featuring power-hungry aliens and far fewer puddles of nuclear waste than initially imagined. Truthfully I haven't read very far, but it's easy to jump into, easy to follow, and the lead character is a total hottie in my mind's eye
