Bliss. That was one word she would use to describe how it felt when he kissed her. Complete and utter bliss. If she could choose a way to die, it would be in Dimitri's arms while he kissed her. Of course that was completely morbid and the thought only crossed her mind for a mere second, but that was how she felt. She hugged him tightly for a moment before relaxing her arms. Nope. Never. She'd never let go. He could be made of lava and she would still want to touch him. Acid could be poured on her arms and she'd never pull away from him. You'd have to rip her heart out first. And she didn't care how stupid and pathetic that sounded. If she was stupid and pathetic for feeling that way, then she could live with that.
"I don't even know how to reply to that," she admitted, casting her eyes downward for a moment as she blushed. But a second later she met his eyes again, unable to completely tear them away from his perfect face. She could not fathom how he didn't think it made sense for her to want him. She could not think of a reason why she wouldn't want him or want to feel everything she felt for him. "If I'm perfect, you're godly," she decided with a bright smile. Her statement was bold, but it seemed she was becoming more bold now. And she liked it. "But if I've lost my mind, I don't want it back," she said seriously, shaking her head slowly. She regarded him curiously for a moment, taking in his words. "And I don't believe that. But even if you were right, and I could have anyone... I don't want anyone," she said, appalled at the idea. "Just you," she whispered, before meeting his lips again. She placed her hands on either side of his face and kissed him with increasing passion until her lungs once again became desperate for air.
For a moment she thought she could die happy just then, but realised that was not true. She did not just want a few kisses from Dimitri. She wanted an endless supply. And she wanted to know more about him. There was so much to discover, and it excited her. She knew a little from their brief conversation, but there was around fifteen years of his life that she didn't know. And she wanted to. And so she vowed to know everything he would tell her. And she would cherish it all.

Dimitri still wanted to kiss Amberly so hard that he lifted her off the ground, but he wouldn't allow himself to move. He felt extremely overwhelmed, waves of feelings hitting him like tidal waves. He wondered if she felt the same. She had to-- didn't she? It must be impossible for him to feel so strongly and for her to not feel the same. Not when they were so close. Not when they kissed like they did. His hand traced her jawline from her chin to her ear, memorizing the shape, before it slid back down to her waist.
When Amberly looked at him, Dimitri felt a shiver run up his spine. His eyes met hers and he swore he could see the sparks of electricity dancing between them. When she called him godly, his mouth opened, then closed, and opened again. Like a fish. Lost for words. Dimitri laughed. "Hardly," he said eventually. "I think you would definitely be a goddess. I'm but a mere mortal," he winked, smiling. He recalled the tales of Greek gods and goddesses they read once in school, of how they would toy with the mortals lives and emotions. How they would unite with them briefly beside a wine-dark sea and their relationships were evanescent.
Dimitri shifted his weight uncomfortably, pushing the day dreams of gods and goddesses and ancient worlds out of his mind. Here and now, he thought. That's all there is.

Amberly sighed happily in his arms and shivered at his touch. Perhaps she could live with dying here. At least she would be content. No. Not just content. Happy. But she knew there was more she wanted. More than just a joke between them and more than the moment they were sharing. It might be considered greedy, but she wanted more moments. More jokes. More touches. More together.
The colour in her cheeks rose when he said she would be a goddess. That was such a big word. Then again, she had called him godly. "Oh come on, Dimitri. You don't give yourself enough credit," she told him teasingly, poking his chest. "You're more than a mortal." She then grinned mischeviously. "You're an Ice Knight, remember?" she giggled. She noticed that he seemed uncomfortable, and she watched his actions curiously. "Is something wrong?" she asked, concerned. Had she said something wrong?
(ooc: I already cannot wait to roleplay them after this<3 Amberly gets into some danger :/)

"How could I forget," Dimitri murmured, closing his eyes for a moment and just listened to the sounds of their breathing. After a bit, he opened his eyes, half smiling. "No, nothing's wrong," he assured Amberly, pressing his lips to her forehead briefly. "Why do you ask?"
How could anything be wrong?
A heavy gust of wind ripped through the air, hard enough to make Dimitri sway. His eyes darted down to Amberly's face, wondering if she was too cold or if she wanted to go home, or at least back inside the now empty school. Her cheeks were flushed with red, but he couldn't tell if it was just her blushing once more or if it was the bitter January cold getting to her. Dimitri pulled her in a bit closer, hoping to offer her more warmth. He didn't want Amberly to want to leave. He didn't want either of them to ever leave this roof.

As silence surrounded them both, Amberly just breathed contentedly. Some people had issues when things got silent, but Amberly found it calming. It allowed her mind to wander, and so she let her thoughts take her to where ever they wanted to go. Each one focused on Dimitri. Most were questions about his life and himself that she hoped to one day learn the answers to. She would not bombard him with all the questions now; it would be more fun to have them answered later. There would be a later, right? She certainly hoped so. She couldn't imagine anything else now. She felt so attached to him, even though they had only ever shared this one moment atop the roof. If Tyler had never brought me up here, I'd never have met Dimitri, she realised, and then felt guilty for even thinking of Tyler.
"I was just wondering," Amberly answered him with a smile. "I just thought... I don't know... that something was." She shook her head slightly and welcomed the closer embrace. She was beginning to feel the cold now as the wind whipped around them on the rooftop. It must be getting later. School was surely finished by now. Tyler had probably taken the bus to Candor, assuming she had taken the one to Amity. But she hadn't. She was on the roof. With Dimitri. She smiled at that, and tried to ignore the cold and how the sky was beginning to darken. In less than a couple of hours, it would be completely dark out, thanks to the effects of winter. Let it, she thought, closing her eyes and creating her own, peaceful darkness.

After what seemed like a lifetime of silence, Dimitri sighed. "You don't want to leave, do you?" he asked, though he didn't want to. "It's cold, and it's getting late. I don't have anywhere to be but... do you?" he wondered, hoping he didn't sound like he wanted her to leave. Dimitri looked down at her, his eyes meeting hers. He wondered how he could ever be so lucky to meet such a perfect girl-- one who seemed to want him too.
Dimitri had never been one to believe in, or even think about, fate or religion or any of that, but now, standing there with Amberly, he couldn't help but believe in something. It was just to perfect, to surreal, to have happened without some divine intervention or twist of fate. He believed it when he said Amberly was a goddess. No one as flawless as her could possibly be completely human. It just was not possible. If he never believed in anything else, Dimitri could safely say he believed in her.
For the first time since they met, Dimitri allowed himself to think of what was "next." They were from different factions. They lived very different lives. And in only a couple of months, their lives would be set in stone. He could never ask her to leave Amity for him, and he had never even considered leaving Dauntless. Dimitri was overcome with surprised when he realized that, for Amberly, he could. He would give up his life of daring and adrenaline to be with her in the place he could only compare to an olden day elderly home. He would do it with a smile.
After all, he wasn't sure he would be able to live without her. Not long term. How could he stand by as she married someone else, had children, grew old? All without him? He couldn't. And he wouldn't.

Amberly looked up at Dimitri, shocked at his question. He wasn't asking her to leave; he was asking her if she wanted to. And she was pretty sure that he didn't want her to. "Well, I should probably go home. My parents will be expecting me, but..." She smiled softly and averted her eyes to his chest. "I kind of don't want to leave at all. I like this," she added in a shy mumble. She was getting cold, but she would put up with it to spend more time with Dimitri. If she looked at how she felt from an outside perspective and not from her own mind, it looked silly. Really? Feeling so strongly about Dimitri after just meeting? Not wanting to part from him? Not wanting to go home even though her parents, and eventually Tyler, would worry? And what about Tyler? How could she feel this way about Dimitri when she had just been on the roof with Tyler, sharing a moment with him? Why, after all the romantic moments with Tyler, did Amberly feel this one single moment with Dimitri trumped them all? How was any of this possible?
It just was.
Amberly had an answer for nothing. But she'd like to figure it all out, even though it was, admittedly, slightly terrifying. But it was as terrifying as it was exciting. She just knew that somehow and someway, she and Dimitri belonged.
It just made sense. This made sense.

For a moment, Dimitri considered offering to walk her home; the walk from school to Amity was quite a hike and he knew Amberly would warm up if she got moving. I wonder how her parents would react to a Dauntless bringing their daughter home, he thought, almost laughing at the thought. Amity or not, they would probably shit bricks.
"I don't want you getting in any trouble," Dimitri told her quietly. "And I also don't want you freezing to death, Ice Queen or not," he added with a small laugh. "But if you don't care, I don't care. Maybe we could build a house up here," he said thoughtfully. "An Ice Palace. I wouldn't mind never leaving..." he trailed off, imagining the two of them together on the roof for the rest of their days. Growing old. And then he laughed, shaking his head slightly. His friends would give him such shit for this, not that he cared.
Dimitri's mind wandered from Amberly for the briefest moment, remembering the last friend he knew who fell in love. He and his friends had made fun of him relentlessly, in good spirits of course, when he canceled plans with them to go see his girlfriend or when he talked about her like she had put the stars in the sky. Now, he realized, he would be on the other end of that. He would be the kid, crazy in love, who forgot about everything just for a girl.
He didn't mind. Amberly was beyond worth it. If Dimitri was going to be that guy, he wasn't just going to talk as though she had put the stars in the sky, he was going to worship her. She was already so much to him, he couldn't imagine it any other way.

The thought of going home was enough to make Amberly feel depressed. She didn't want this day to end anymore; it had turned out to be more than perfect (if that was even possible), and she knew she wouldn't be able to sleep.
But never had Amberly missed being home when she said she was going to be. And already, she knew, she was late. Her parents would think she was hanging out with Tyler, but if Tyler came to call... Shit would hit the fan. "I don't care," she decided, not sure where all of this rebelliousness was coming from. "I won't freeze. You're keeping me plenty warm," she said with a smile. "And as Ice Queen," she said, putting on what she figured was a royal accent, "I will just have to get used to the cold." As she said this, a cold wind blew by, blowing her hair furiously around, and causing her to shiver. She shuddered and pressed closer to Dimitri, wishing she had thought to wear a warmer jacket today. "Or maybe not," she said, teeth chattering. "Maybe the ice has accepted by rule as Ice Queen, but the wind clearly hasn't," she joked as her body trembled. She found herself longing for a warm, brick fire, and instantly thought of her farmhouse back home, which her parents had allowed her to move into. In it there was a fire place, a space heater, and lots of warm blankets. It was usually hers and Tyler's private place -- it had been since they were little. She didn't even bring her school friends up there. But she wanted to share it with Dimitri. Except her parents might flip. She had never brought a guy home before. She was always hanging around Tyler (not that her parents knew the secret she and Tyler were keeping from everyone). And Dimitri was older than her. Older, and Dauntless. If there was anyone who was completely opposite of Dauntless, it was Amity. Amity avoided danger -- anything that could potentially bring about conflict. Most Dauntless lived for danger.
Dimitri ... He has his Choosing Ceremony this year. I wonder where he'll choose, she found herself thinking. He seemed comfortable as a Dauntless. And she was comfortable as an Amity. So... what would happen later? Did they even have a chance? Don't be ridiculous, she thought. But she had no counter-argument. She couldn't be with a Dauntless and still be Amity. But she couldn't not be with Dimitri.
This is more confusing than the Tyler thing, she realised with a sigh.

Dimitri laughed, ducking down to kiss Amberly, pulling away enough to slide out of his jacket. The cold air bit his skin for a moment when he helped Amberly into it, but the cold sensation vanished when he took her in his arms again. His own happiness was radiating off him in thick, hot waves. If they staid like this much longer, he might have to roll in a snow bank just to cool himself off.
"The wind will accept your rule eventually," Dimitri assured her seriously. He kissed her again. "How could it not? You are the perfect Queen," he smiled. He wondered if Amberly was as comfortable in his arms as he was holding her. Any other time he had ever hugged someone, his arms had grown tired and slack after a bit, but he didn't feel the least bit uncomfortable, even after holding her for this long. It was as though his arms had realized that their natural, rightful position was this.
For a fraction of a heartbeat, Dimitri wanted to bring Amberly home with him. To show her that crucial aspect of his life. But he quickly dismissed the thought, certain that they would both be in endless amounts of trouble if he did so. His father would never stand for an outsider in their home. And he wasn't about to put Amberly through such an awful ordeal.

Amberly could not help the grin that spread across her lips when Dimitri lent her his jacket to wear. It was such a simple gesture, but to her it meant so much. It made her feel giddy, wearing his coat, and when she thought he wasn't looking, she wrapped it tightly around her and snuck a sniff. It smelled like him: unreal. Amazing. Again, she felt her face flush. I must look like a tomato by now, she thought, almost giggling.
She kissed him back after Dimitri assured her that the wind would accept her rule, but he pulled away much too soon for her liking. "And you're my perfect Knight," she told him in what came off as a joking tone, but she felt it was truly and completely serious. He was obviously not a horseback riding, armour-wearing, dragon-slaying knight, but he was still a knight in another way. A way Amberly could not full explain; she just felt it. My Knight, she thought. My Knight. I want him to be mine.

Dimitri liked the way Amberly looked in his clothes, like she had a part of him with her. A part of him that everyone could see. He liked the way she wrapped it tighter around herself, and let himself imagine that it was because she wanted him closer.
"I live to serve and protect," Dimitri told her, his voice low. He looked down at Amberly, his eyes hungry and his hands itching to touch her. He held back, however, keeping his arms wrapped tightly around her torso. He was lucky she was letting him kiss her and hold her in this way. He was not about to overstep his boundaries. He was not about to let himself be controlled by some ridiculous hormones. Amberly was special, and he would treat her as such. He could not lose her.
Dimitri frowned slightly. "You know... I don't know much at all about you, and you know quite a bit about me. You should tell me about yourself," he requested. He wanted to know everything there was to know about Amberly. He wanted to know things no one else had ever known about her. He wanted everything.

His jacket was definitely doing its job of keeping her warm, but she hoped he wasn't cold. She made note to ask him in a bit, though she knew most guys were able to keep warmer than girls naturally. Except now that she had it around her shoulders, she wasn't sure she wanted to give it back. Amberly bit the inside of her cheek to keep from giggling at that thought, and found herself staring at Dimitri's chest. He had on less layers now, and so his torso was slightly more defined in the shirt he was wearing. She wondered how he looked without the shirt on...
When he spoke again, Amberly looked up at him, unsmiling with her lips, but she knew her eyes were smiling enough for her. She felt as if they were glowing when she looked at him, caused by the radiance that was him. He was radiant, and if that word could not be used to describe a guy, well too bad. He was handsomely radiant, then.
As she looked up at him, she smiled slightly (this time with her lips), and said, "I don't know that much about you," she pointed out. "But if you want to know more about me, I'll share it. What do you want to know?" she asked, not sure where to start in telling him about herself. Well, my name is Amberly Damon. I'm sixteen years old. I'm Amity... It felt silly.

Dimitri could feel Amberly's eyes on him, lighting the spots they rested on on fire. He tried not to let himself dwell on that too much, though, even though he loved the fact that she wanted to look at him anywhere near as much as he wanted to look at her. The corners of his lips twitched sightly as he suppressed a smile.
"Tell me what you think I should know," Dimitri said, "I want to know everything about you. Even things you've never told anyone before. Especially those things," he smiled. "Maybe half the fun in knowing will be the learning part... the figuring it all out... but give me something to go off of here, will you?" Dimitri laughed, but he wasn't sure why. "I don't even know your last name."

It was like he was reading her mind. Everything he was saying about wanting to learn stuff about her, she had been thinking of just moments ago. She smiled, mostly to herself, pleased to find that they were on the same page with all of this. Or at least with how they felt about learning about each other.
"Well, I guess I'll start with some basics, then," Amberly said, her smile turning into a grin. She wasn't sure what about her was interesting, but the fact that Dimitri wanted to know made her stomach do flip and her chest warm. "My full name is Amberly Luciana Damon. I have a cousin named Tyler Damon, in Candor. That's who I was up here with before he left. He's moody," she added, shaking her head. She wasn't supposed to be talking about Tyler. But up until now, Tyler was the only truly important person in her life. "Um... I'm fourteen. I like to sketch. I'd like to sketch the view from up here," she added, looking to the side to see that the sun was getting closer to setting, and the view was not as clear as it had been when Tyler brought her up here earlier. "Umm..." She looked back at Dimitri and shrugged. "I guess those are the basics. I mean, obviously I was born in New Chicago, in Amity. Oh!" she exclaimed suddenly, slapping a hand to her forehead. "I'm also adopted. Sometimes I forget," she admitted, laughing.
"So," she added, nudging Dimitri with her shoulder. "Tell me about you."
